6 ways to be more environmentally friendly
We offer ad-hoc and total waste management solutions and are focused on offering an eco-friendly way of disposing of waste.
Whether it’s our domestic and commercial skip hire in Sheffield or commercial bin hire for local businesses, we strongly emphasise eco-friendly waste solutions. Currently, over 98% of our skip waste is recycled at our facility in Sheffield.
We can collect all types of commercial and industrial wastes, including Hazardous waste (such as asbestos or WEEE).
We are continuously finding ways to divert as much residual waste from landfill as possible and reduce our carbon footprint. Mattresses are a key contributor to the UK’s landfill and fly-tipping problem, so we have changed how we dispose of them to improve this. Upgrades to our organisation and waste segregation have enabled us to more easily shred the mattresses down, separate the springs and send the fluff/fabric to be recycled for horse manèges.
Not sure what size skip you need or how long you’ll need it for? Our team are more than happy to discuss your requirements and help you find a solution to your skip hire needs.
If you are looking for more information on hiring a skip, including what waste you can put into one, there is also lots of great support on our FAQ page.
We are passionate about giving back to our local community and charities, especially when they improve the environment. Small changes and acts can still have huge long-term benefits. Whether it’s local litter picks or plastic pollution cleanups in our ocean, we are dedicated to our sustainability.
Our dedication to improving our efficiency and sustainability efforts do not stop there. All of our drivers are now working off PDAs, allowing a contactless and paperless transaction.
We are also proud to have invested in our vehicles to make the entire fleet 06 engines, reducing our c02 emissions and maintaining our ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 accreditations.
Using secure storage and treatment facilities at our Sheffield site, we can manage all types of waste and metals to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, helping maximise their re-use, recycling and waste-to-energy capabilities.
