We recognise the importance of environmental protection and are committed to operating our business responsibly and fulfilling its compliance obligations relating to the removal, sorting, recycling and disposal of non-hazardous and hazardous waste materials (including asbestos) recycling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals—Fletcher Plant’s declared policy to operate with and maintain good relations with all regulatory bodies.
Our objective is to carry out all measures reasonably practicable to meet, exceed or develop all necessary or desirable requirements, protect the environment, and improve the Environmental Management System to enhance environmental performance continually.
Fletchers Waste Management is committed to providing eco-friendly waste solutions and works to the highest of industry standards. Currently, over 98% of our skip waste is recycled at our facility in Sheffield. We are Registered Waste Recycling, Registered Scrap Metal Recycling and QMS-ISO 14001, 9001 and 45001 accredited.
Fletchers Waste Management has continued to invest in reducing their carbon footprint with developments to our vehicle range. Over the past few years, we have upgraded a large section of our fleet to euro 6 vehicles and aim to update it all in the next two years (35 vehicles). Furthermore, all vehicles are maintained and service in-house in our newly refurbished, state-of-the-art mechanic workshop. All drivers now operate their own PDA’s as the company begins a transition into a paperless business, hoping to achieve this in the next three to five years.
