We're thrilled to finally show off our new bin lorry design!
Throughout recent months, we've been collaborating with The Children's Hospital Charity to organise a drawing competition for children at Sheffield Children's Hospital.
Our chosen slogan to accompany the drawings is 'Recycle with our children's future in mind.' We felt that their drawings would encourage the people of Sheffield to take action and think more about recycling and protecting the environment. Whether they wanted to develop superheroes like Environment Man or their own unique idea, we welcomed the children's own interpretations of how we could encourage this.
There were many wonderful designs to choose from, and after great deliberation, we chose our two winners: Peter, aged nine, and Zeynep, aged fifteen.
Both drawings are now printed on our bin lorry, which collects waste from companies and homes throughout Sheffield every day. We are grateful for the Charity's support in organising the competition, and we thank all of the children who entered.
