Fletchers Waste Supports The Archer Project
Partnering with The Archer Project - Business Breakfast Club
We are excited to have recently partnered with The Archer Project Business Breakfast Club, a Sheffield charity supporting homeless and vulnerable people in Sheffield and the wider region.
At The Archer Project, having breakfast is a lifeline for many people they help. As part of our partnership, we will sponsor a week of breakfasts each year at the Archer Project, which is an average of 60 breakfasts a day, five days a week. Our team will also regularly volunteer at Sheffield Cathedral to serve breakfast and meet the people The Archer Project supports.
As well as this, the charity relies on donations to keep running costs to a minimum. They're particularly in need of men’s boxer shorts, men’s trousers in smaller sizes (waist 30, 32, 34 inches), baked beans and cereal. We will be collecting items internally but welcome donations from customers and suppliers who would like to support the charity.
A full list of items they need includes:
- Tinned meats
- Tinned foods
- Coffee
- Decaf coffee
- Sugar
- Biscuits and chocolate
- Underwear (new)
- Socks
- Belts
- Gloves
- Sleeping bags
- Rucksacks
- Shampoo
- Deodorant
- Shaving foam and razors
- Washing powder
Homelessness can include sleeping rough, occasional hostel spaces, camping on friends’ floors, and squatting. The Archer Project is a place of safety and warmth where homeless and vulnerable people are welcomed and supported.
Supporting local charities like The Archer Project ensures their vital work can continue. Other businesses around South Yorkshire who would like to join the Business Breakfast Club can do so here: https://www.archerproject.org.uk/fundraising/business-breakfast-club.
