We want nothing more than to provide you with a skip for you to fill with your unwanted rubbish so we can deal with it.

All you have to do is fill it with whatever you’re throwing out and leave it to us to dispose of the waste safely and efficiently.

What items can't be put in a skip?

Please remember some items you can’t put in a skip due to government legislation designed to protect public health and the environment.

We are not able to accept certain kinds of hazardous, toxic or noxious waste.

This includes all waste labelled as hazardous, including industrial detergents, paints with residue, resin tins, oil waste containers or bags.

Can white goods be put into a skip?

White goods like fridges, freezers and dishwashers must be disposed of at your local recycling centre –and the same goes for brown goods like televisions and monitor screens.

Separate arrangements must be made for things like gas cylinders, batteries, fluorescent tubes and tyres.

Likewise, clinical waste - including nappies, soiled bandages and dressings, syringes and sharps – as well as chemicals and pesticides and any containers displaying any of the hazardous signs – must be disposed of separately.

Contaminated soil, including soil contaminated with oil, diesel, petrol and asbestos, can’t be included – nor can asbestos, including non-hazardous asbestos looking materials.

Aerosols that display hazardous signs and sludge, or any liquid waste, can’t be taken in our skips.

But we can certainly advise on how to dispose of these prohibited items – and we’d be delighted to do so!
