What types of waste can you recycle?

There are many different types of waste that your business can recycle. These include:

Cardboard & Paper - Most paper and cardboard can be recycled multiple times, being processed for re-use as packing, or for other purposes such as animal bedding and litter.

Metals - Metals can be recycled to separate ferrous from non-ferrous at specialist recycling centres like ours. Once separated, most metals can be repurposed in a multitude of ways. Fletchers also operate as scrap metal merchants, providing a way to profit from re-usable scrap metals.

Glass - Bars, restaurants and pubs are the biggest culprits for glass waste, yet almost all forms of glass can be endlessly recycled and reprocessed into new forms, whatever the colour, shape or usage. Let us help you achieve 100% recyclability on your commercial glass waste.

Plastics - There are lots of different types of plastic in commercial use, and lots of them can be recycled. Recycled plastic is melted down and cast into pellets for reuse in thousands of different forms, from bottles and packing, to furniture and reusable supermarket carrier bags.

Clothing & Textiles - Whether it’s returned stock, or waste generated from refurbishment projects, clothing and textiles like curtains and tablecloths can be either donated to charitable causes for resale or reuse or recycled to be made into new items.

Brick, Wood & other building materials - Most people don’t assume they can recycle bricks, timber and other waste building materials. In fact, they can be repurposed in many different ways and considering most bricks have a lifespan of over 200 years, it makes sense to use them over again! We can collect building materials from commercial projects across South Yorkshire, providing skips of all sizes to collect your waste.

Green Waste - Green waste doesn’t just include garden trimmings, grass, and weeds. It also includes the tonnes of waste fruits and vegetables thrown out by restaurants and the catering industry every day. This can all be taken and recycled for use as compost or in other garden care products.
